Originally built in 1929 as a hunting and fishing lodge for a private owner, Sky Lodge has been welcoming guests for almost 100 years. Today on our 150+ acres, Sky Lodge offers sportsmen with the ultimate Maine getaway. Our main lodge provides sweeping views of the mountains and the Moose River Valley with nine private guest rooms for individuals or large groups. When you step inside you’ll be swept back in time by the beauty of the meticulously restored structure; the largest fully log lodge east of the Mississippi River. Alternately, our cabins and homes, provide the opportunity to getaway to a fully equipped camp with all of the amenities of home.

Add to that our authentic hospitality, simple yet exceptional dining, and Maine’s unrivaled network of trails and you have found a sportsman’s paradise.

With seemingly endless miles of trail maintained by our local Border Riders Sportsman’s Club you can choose to ride to the off-grid historic Pittston Farm, venture to lunch and visit Destination Moosehead Lake, or head south and enjoy the river views from the deck during lunch at the Hawk’s Nest. And that’s just the beginning!

All of our accommodations provide direct trail access, with plenty of parking for trailers.

Local dealer, Jackman Powersports also carries all of the largest brands, with a huge inventory of equipment, parts, and gear.
